Interlibrary loans

Students and staff of the Faculty of Science can request an interlibrary loan if the material you need for your studies or research is not available from Lund University Libraries. When you request an interlibrary loan, the material is ordered from another library.

Before you request an interlibrary loan

Before you request an interlibrary loan, remember to check that the item you require is not already available in the Lund University Libraries.

Search and find books in the library catalogue LUBcat or use the search tool LUBsearch.

If the item is in the Lund University Libraries, borrow or order it instead of requesting an interlibrary loan.

Search and find journals in the library catalogue LUBcat or use the ePublications search tool. Search and find articles in print journals available at the University Library in the Lubito database. Search and find the journal in Lubito, use the form to request the article, and the PDF will be sent to your email address within 3 days.

If the book or journal you are looking for is not included the collections of Lund University Libraries you can search for it in the Swedish National Library catalogue Libris.

Request an interlibrary loan of a book or article using the link below. Library users should log in using their Lucat login or the username and password linked to their Lund University student account. The first time you log in to request an interlibrary loan you must register your details before you can proceed.

Delivery times

Delivery times vary for interlibrary loan books and articles depending on availability and where the item is sent from. Expect books to take at least a week. Articles are usually delivered within 24 hours.

Fees

At the Library of Science, interlibrary loans are free for students and staff.
